Swan Lake Ballet 26 January
On 26 January, the Théâtre municipal de Castres welcomes the Ballet Clásico Internacional troupe for an exceptional performance of Swan Lake. Tchaikovsky composed Swan Lake in 1875 for the Moscow Ballet, revolutionising classical music and creating the most emblematic ballet in classical dance. A romantic par excellence, Swan Lake follows the mad love affair between Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette, condemned by the powerful and evil magician Rothbart to turn into a swan by day and back into a woman by night. On learning of this curse, Prince Siegfried will do anything to break the spell and free his bride.
